BA, BHSc (Nat), BPsych (Hons), MPsych (Clinical), MAPS

Saurenne is aware that feeling connected and understood is essential for therapy to be effective. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space for her clients, putting them at ease through her warm and authentic style.

Saurenne adopts a holistic approach to understand what is important to her clients and how they feel in their world. She works in a collaborative way to create meaningful change, drawing on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Saurenne also has a particular affinity for deeper therapies such as Schema therapy and Internal Family Systems. She has worked with adults and late teens  who experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, identity, life change, grief, boundaries/assertiveness and relationship difficulties.  Saurenne has also worked in a hospital setting and has experience with complex trauma and personality disorders.

Saurenne has been helping clients with their wellbeing for over 15 years, first as a naturopath, and now as a psychologist. With this background, she brings a unique understanding of health and is comfortable working as part of a diverse team of healthcare practitioners to achieve results for her clients.  Her research interests have included gut health and mood/cognition and, more recently, post-traumatic growth.
