What is the vega testing?

Vega testing was formulated from the findings of Reinholdt Voll in the early 1900s. Voll discovered that each acupuncture point actually carried an electrical charge that could be measured. He stated that electrical changes at specific acupuncture points were related to pathology in the organs to which the measured point belonged. This he named Electro Acupuncture according to Voll or E.A.V. This however required a practitioner to take 100s of readings on Acupuncture points before appropriate pathways could be associated according to Chinese acupuncture.

A German dentist, Helmut Schimmel, began to explore this system in more depth and began to discover how he could utilize only one accupuncture point as an indicator. He suggested that the site or organ of abnormality could be detected by placing homoeopathic extracts in the circuit and measuring the resistance that a meridian had to it. He also utilized foods and medications to see if the meridian would show a resistance. His tests proved successful for checking for many diseases, allergies, toxins and disruptions in the body. The machine which he developed in the early 1970s used this principle and was named Vega test system.

The Vega test system represents over four decades of German experience and development of the Electro-Acupuncture concept. For over forty years now, the Vega has held the reputation of being the most sophisticated Bio-Energy testing method ever developed.

The Vega requires advanced training in its use along with a pre requisite that the practitioner is fully qualified within the health sciences. The Vega is often utilized within a consult to get an overview of what is occurring in the body and interactions which the body may have with certain substances. The Vega also can give an indication whether treatment is successful or not on subsequent visits.

Vega does have a TGA number (Therapuetic Goods Assosciation) in Australia but not as a diagnostic machine.

The Vega test is simple and non invasive. The patient holds a metal rod which is attatched to the Vega machine. The practitioner probes an acupuncture point with a pen shaped object also attatched to the Vega machine. An Acupuncture point can be in many different locations on the body. Generally the side of a finger is used. (It is possible to use any point where and acupuncturist would insert a needle.) Remember it is non invasive so all you will feel is a pressure. The practitioner will check many varied substances in the circuit to help in discovering the disharmony in the body.
