What is Lymphatic Drainage Therapy?

The lymphatic system (immune system) is vital to our well being, because it is the defense mechanism of the body. Its structure extends like honeycomb webbing across the body's surface. The lymphatic system is also found in the deeper body - around body organs, intestines and connective tissue. Using gentle movements it stimulates the superficial region of the body to help direct lymph fluid to nodes. The concept of manual lymphatic drainage therapy is to stimulate lymphatic flow.

(To jump start the immune system, so to speak)
